Fall in love with Ivy Lane, a beautiful family home that has just has a major extension at the rear of the home and been completely renovated throughout. The owners of this home have gone to great detail to ensure it is suitably built for production ease. With a modern classic crossed farmhouse style, Ivy Lane is a blank slate with an abundance of charm and functionality.
The home sits on a large 800sqm block – north to rear so light and bright all day. The home is situated in a quiet suburb on the Northern Beaches with little through traffic. A nice wide street with plenty of free street parking, a car space inside the front boundary and a large undercover 1.5 car carport at the front of the home (perfect for caterers to set up). Double doors with sidelights sit at the centre of a wide and fully uncover patio. Olive trees flank the front door to create a beautiful welcome. Beautiful north facing alfresco areas with pool, spa, pool house with large built in day bed, gas fireplace, glass fencing, outdoor dining area, built in BBQ, gas lift windows and undercover lounge area. Skylights with open/close blinds assist light control.
A large open room with 3m ceilings, a beautiful gas fireplace, an 85″ television and Coco Republic lounges and occasional chairs. Chevron engineered timber floors which have 6mm of insulation under assist good quality sound recording. Huge floor to ceiling stacking sliding doors built in the style of New York style black steel doors. Full length block out blinds and sheers assist light control throughout the day.
The kitchen palette is black cabinetry with hints of copper in the tap ware and cabinet ware. Bench tops and splash backs are honed Carrara Marble (so no reflections). The 2.8m island bench has a 60cm induction cooktop built in so that the presenter can ‘cook to camera’. Multiple ovens as well as a 90cm induction cooktop. There are no pendant lights over the island bench so good clearance for overhead shots. Several angles to shoot and lovely depth of field with the layout of the kitchen. The butlers pantry sits behind so nice visual interest. The splash above the main cooktop is fibre cement so able to be painted if required. There is a very large laundry that sits nearby – clear bench tops on 3 sides with a large sink so perfect for food stylists to prep.
This area has been designed with plenty of clear space right around for filming. The stacking doors off the back of the kitchen open almost completely so there is also room to shoot from quite far back.
The home includes 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a home office with dual desks and a beautifully integrated queen size Murphy Bed to make it into a bedroom if required. The home has a beautifully landscaped and curated front garden with small lawn areas. The rear garden features a paved area, a lovely lawn and is flanked by Leighton Green and Vibernum hedges.
